Synchronization Stability of Grid-Following Converters Governed by Saturation Nonlinearities

چکیده

Saturation nonlinearities caused by control limiters will be activated during large disturbances, complicating the stability of grid-tied voltage source converters (VSCs). This letter investigates large-disturbance synchronization VSC considering two typical limiters, i.e., hard limiter reference current and circular used to avoid overmodulation. A unified differential equation (UDE) model is proposed quantify transient responses boundaries system under different saturation conditions. It revealed that behaves as a when activated; while interaction between drives work source, making it immune instability.
